The Barbie Twilight Victoria Doll Set For Release With The Eclipse Movie

I was surprised to hear the announcement that Mattel will be making a Barbie Twilight Victoria Doll. Other characters from the Twilight series might be more worthy of being immortalized as a Barbie. However looking at the first picture of the doll, it looks like they have done a pretty good job. For fans of the series or Twilight dolls collectors this is a must have memento.

The Victoria Barbie doll is set to go on the shelves soon after the release of the third Twilight movie, Eclipse. This is a good time to be fair, as Victoria has her biggest part in the story in this movie. The doll goes on the shelves on the 23rd September. As most Twilight fans will know, she is the main antagonist or villian in the Twilight saga. She threatens the life of Bella and the Cullen clan on quite a few occasions. This comes to a head in the third movie.

Apparently the Victoria Twilight barbie doll will look like Victoria in the Eclipse movie. In other words here outfit will reflect how the character dresses in the movie. From the first pictures of the doll, it looks really good and is pretty distinctive with the tousled,red hair.

The Victoria barbie doll has the thick red curls that are described as a halo of flames that offset her porcelain pink hued face. This sets the tone for her character that is all bad and a sworn enemy of Bella, Edward and all the Cullens.

The doll is dressed as the character looks in the Eclipse movie. This means she has the faux-leather coat that goes to the knees. Underneath the coat she has a striking violet top that goes well with the red hair, a striped vest or waistcoat, tapered denim jeans and black boots.

Background on Victoria from Twilight

Victoria is one of the bad guys. She has a small part in the first Twilight movie, has more to do in the second installment and peaks in the third. She is a vampire and has none of the sensibilities of the Cullen family. She likes human blood and her own blood boils when she finds out that Edward Cullen is involved with a human in th shape of Bella Swan. Along with her vampire partners, notably James and Riley, she sets out to kill Bella and destroy the Cullen family.

A major storyline in the first three movies deals with the battles between the Cullens and the vampires that Victoria is allied to or creates to destroy them.

She is described as beautiful, dangerous, determined and has a supernatural talent is self-preservation.

Victoria is played by the actress Rachelle Lefevre in the first two films but in the third movie, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Bryce Dallas Howard plays her.
