Figure is listed as a series 2 action figure. It is a new
item released by NECA, the creators of plenty of Twilight
memorabilia from the best selling movies. Due to the popularity
of the previous release, that included Edward, Bella, Jacob and
Alice, NECA have decided to make some of the other
characters...and Jasper Cullen is first off the list. In fact,
the series 2 action figures include updates on previous action
figures, notably Jacob Black, who now looks more like the

This action figure is officially licensed by the Summit
Entertainment. Like the other characters it stands at 7 inches
in height. It is an accurate depiction of the character in the
movie and has him dressed in the outfit worn in the birthday
scene.
It is an articulated figure, meaning that it has jointed
shoulders so that the arms can move about.
At the moment this action figure retails for $16.89.
It would make an ideal gift for any Twilight fan or

Background on Jasper Cullen
Jasper is one of the peripheral characters in the saga,
especially the first movie. However as the story progresses and
we learn more about vampires and the Cullen family, his role
increases. He plays an important role in the New Moon and
Eclipse books and movies when the Cullens fight against the new
vampires. We also learn more about how he became a vampire and
what he has been doing for the past 150 plus years.
He is one of the few vampires in the Cullen coven (family)
that was not created by Carlisle Cullen. However in the books
and movies he is presented as the son of Carlisle and Esme and
brother of Edward. He is also the husband of Alice Cullen.
As a human he was a soldier in the American civil war and
seemed to be doing very well. He was on the fast track to
promotion and this was put down to his natural charisma and
charm. He was a natural leader in fact. This was recognized by
a vampire called Maria who turned him into a vampire at age 20.
So he looks 20 in the movies. He has had quite an interesting
time as a vampire. Maria made hm train and then kill new
vampires. She wasn't a very nice vampire.
Jasper did this for over one hundred years but began to
loath it and went his separate ways. He finally met Alice and
they eventually married or became mates in vampire speak. Thus
they came to live under the Cullen roof.
Jasper is described as handsome with blond hair and quite
thin but still muscular. He is played by Jackson Rathbone in
the Twilight saga movies.
