Bella Swan and Her Story

Bella Swan is the female protagonist and the star of the Twilight series, both in the novels where she is the narrator and in the films, where she takes the leading role.  This pale beauty ala Snow White is played by Kristen Stewart who fits the role perfectly.  Quite and somewhat conservative, this character is fearless and fights for what she wants and believes in - especially for who she loves.

In the beginning, Bella is the new girl in town when she moves in with her dad.  Knowing nothing about vampires, she instantly feels a strong connection and falls head over heels in love with one, Edward Cullen.  When she learns about this fact, instead of running for the hills, not frightened at all, she strongly wants to be a vampire too, even if Edward is against it.  To keep this from happening and to keep Bella safe, the Cullens move away.  This is where her relationship with Jacob, a Quileute, starts to build up and a love triangle is formed.  However, she ends up marrying Edward, turns into one of them, and bears a child, Renesmee.

This doll, taken from the birthday scene in Twilight New Moon looks just like the actress who played the role, Kristen Stewart. From the pale skin to the wavy dark brown hair to the cat like eyes.  Even down to her clothes, what she is wearing just screams Twilight.  She is sporting an olive taffeta dress complete with exquisite rose details.  Over it is a soft knit cardigan.  The feet of the doll are covered with canvas slip-ons.  Accessories are even included - the black ribbon headband and a bracelet for each wrist- one just like the gift Jacob had given her.  Not a string out of place, this doll is complete from head to toe, pantyhose as well.

Tonner dolls are unique, in that the face is individually painted. There is usually a limited release of a type of doll or character. Whilst Robert Tonner tends to specialize in pop culture characters, he also makes original dolls inspired by his own likes and dislikes. These dolls are generally not for playing and really are best kept as a collectible.
